EWING, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team battled a nationally-ranked opponent for the time this year and lost by a final of 9-0 at No. 41 College of New Jersey.
The loss snapped a six-match winning streak for the Rangers (7-6).
At No. 1 singles, senior
Melina Christodoulou put up a battle in her opening set but ultimately fell 7-5 before her opponent closed it out with a 6-1 second-set win.
Freshman
Riley Roesel won the second-most games for the Rangers on the day in her 6-2, 6-3 loss at No. 6.
The Rangers continue their season on Wednesday, when they visit Wilkes University in a Landmark Conference match starting at 3:30 p.m.
