ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University men's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 victory at Elizabethtown College in a Landmark Conference tilt on Saturday.
With the win, the Rangers (12-6, 8-1) finish the Landmark Conference regular season 8-1 and now must wait for the remainder of conference play to conclude before learning their playoff seeding in the Landmark Conference Championships.
In doubles action, freshman
Daniel Arcari and sophomore
Jesse Faro won 8-5 to finish the season 8-0 in Landmark Conference play. Senior
Jack Polvere and sophomore
Shivi Perera earned an 8-2 win at No. 2 while senior
Santo Carroccia and junior
Josh Kline were 8-4 winners at No. 3.
Drew went on to win all six singles matches in straight sets. Senior
Daryl Wong Li-Hom earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 1 while freshman
Joshua Thomas was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 2. Perera prevailed 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 to finish 6-1 in Landmark Conference play while Carroccia captured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 while Polvere secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 5. Freshman
Ty Gelijns contributed a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6.
Drew closes out the regular season on Monday, when it hosts Baruch College at 3 p.m. on Senior Day.
