Women’s Tennis Posts Third Straight Undefeated LC Regular Season

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over Elizabethtown College in its final regular-season Landmark Conference match of the season.
 
With the win, the Rangers (9-6, 9-0 LC) finished undefeated in Landmark Conference play for the third year in a row. Drew will enter the Landmark Conference tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host a conference semifinal against an opponent to be determined on Thursday, May 2.
 
With the victory, the Rangers extended their winning streak versus Landmark Conference opponents to 27 and have won their last 24 Landmark Conference regular-season matches.
 
Drew opened the day by winning two of three doubles matches. Senior Melina Christodoulou and junior Mary Kalorin teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 1 to finish 7-1 in Landmark Conference play while junior Courtney Bresler and sophomore Natalia Zamora prevailed 8-3 at No. 3.
 
The Rangers went on to win all six singles matches in straight sets, including a 6-2, 6-0 victory from Christodoulou at No. 1 that gave her a 7-1 conference record. Kalorin captured a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2, and she concluded the season 9-0 versus Landmark opponents.
 
Also winning were Zamora at No. 3 (6-2, 6-1), freshman Maddie Krzanowski at No. 4 (6-1, 6-0), freshman Riley Roesel at No. 5 (6-1, 6-2), and Bresler at No. 6 (6-1, 7-5). Roesel finished the regular season 8-1 versus Landmark Conference opponents while Zamora went 7-2 and Krzanowski finished 6-1.
 
Drew closes out the regular season on Monday, when it hosts Baruch College at 3 p.m. on Senior Day.
