NORMAN, Okla. – For the second time in as many years, sophomore
Elliot Parker has been honored with a spot on the Division III PING All-America Men's Golf Team, as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Coming off another banner season, Parker was one of just 47 golfers nation-wide who were named to the team. He earned third-team recognition for the second year in a row.

Parker, who became Drew's first-ever All-American in golf last season, also captured his second consecutive All-Region honor last month. He closed out a tremendous season by earning just one of six individual bids to compete at the NCAA Division III Championships and made his debut at the national event in Nevada on May 14-15.

For the season, Parker competed in 21 rounds and averaged a 71.4 – over two strokes better than his school record set last year. He won five of his 11 events, including the Landmark Conference Championships on April 27-28, when he shot a 139 (-5) en route to a four-stroke victory. He also broke the top-five eight times and cracked the top-10 in all but two of his events.
In one of his top performances, Parker bettered his own school records for 18 holes and 36 holes, shooting a 65 (-7) and 138 (-6), respectively, in winning The Gauntlet, Drew's first event of the season Sept. 10-11 at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, Pa. He also won the Farmingdale State George Cangero Invitational with a 70 (E) on Oct. 15, the Landmark Conference Fall Preview with a 140 (-4) on Oct. 21-22, and the Conquer the Island tournament with a 68 (-4) on April 18.
Parker was ranked second in Region III and 37th in all of Division III in the final Clippd national rankings.

As a team, Parker and the Rangers averaged a 303.0 this past season, just edging the school record of 303.3 set by last year's squad. The team won the Landmark Conference Fall Preview and took runner-up honors at the Landmark Conference Championships, finishing just two strokes behind the University of Scranton.
