MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team registered a 5-2 victory over Lycoming College in its season, home, and Landmark Conference opener on Saturday at the Drew Tennis Complex.

The victory gave first-year Head Coach Geoffrey Diehl C'21 his first women's tennis win.

With the triumph, the Rangers extended their winning streak versus Landmark Conference opponents to 30 and have now won their last 25 Landmark Conference regular-season matches.

The three-time defending conference champions opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Senior Mary Kalorin and graduate student Sophie Weaver teamed up for a 6-3 victory at No. 1, senior Elise Parisi and junior Jada Worthem prevailed 6-2 at No. 2, and junior Nora Kosch and sophomore Danielle Pettoni won 6-4 at No. 3.

In singles play, junior Natalia Zamora won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 while sophomore Riley Roesel captured an identical 6-3, 6-4 decision at No. 2. Pettoni added a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 3 while Parisi won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5.

The Rangers compete for the second day in a row when they visit Hartwick College on Sunday in a non-conference tilt starting at 1 p.m.
