MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University field hockey team scored three first-half goals and the Rangers defeated Neumann University 3-2 in a non-conference matchup Saturday in Ranger Stadium.
With the win, the Rangers improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2013.

Emma Rider, and junior
Emily Monaco scored one goal apiece for Drew while sophomore

The Rangers never trailed after Olivio struck with 8:48 left in the first quarter. Rider found Olivio at the top of the circle, where she made one touch to get around a defender before burying her second goal of the season.
Rider doubled Drew's lead with 4:57 left in the opening period, cashing in on a penalty corner. Senior

The Knights (2-2) cut the deficit in half when Michelle Hughes picked off a pass and quickly sent a shot through the five-hole with 9:08 to go in the second quarter. However, Monaco answered for the Rangers, sending in a rebound off a deflected shot with 3:14 remaining in the half to make it a 3-1 game at the break.
The scored remained the same for nearly the rest of the game before Gabriella Cappelli struck from the right side with 1:05 left for Neumann. However, the Rangers did not allow a shot the rest of the way.
