After a close opening four and a half minutes, the Rangers broke it open with a 14-3 outburst. Sophomore guard Eli Yusavage and Zenker kicked off the run with back-to-back jumpers before senior guard James Anderson and Zenker drained consecutive 3-pointers. Kline followed up with a steal and bucket before Musial went 2-for-2 at the foul line to give the Rangers a 29-13 advantage with 10:26 on the clock.

After Juniata twice closed to within 12, Drew took a commanding 28-point lead following a 16-2 explosion over a 4:14 stretch. Five different Rangers scored during the run, which included an emphatic slam from Zenker and was capped by a layup from senior forward Peso Crump that made it 50-22 with 1:10 remaining.

Drew continued to put the game out of reach early in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 15-9 over the opening four minutes to go ahead 67-33, marking its largest lead of the game. Higgins scored seven points during the spurt.

The Eagles slowly chipped away at the deficit over the remainder of the game, but they were never able to get closer than 20 the rest of the way.
