WASHINGTON – The Drew University women's volleyball team was handed a 3-0 setback from Catholic University in a Landmark Conference tilt Friday evening.

The Cardinals won by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Sophomore Aidyn Stone registered four service aces and eight digs for the Rangers while freshman Coco Otto scooped nine digs. Junior Alyssa Rachwal handed out six assists.

The Rangers led 5-2 and 7-5 in the early going of the first set, but Catholic used a 9-2 run to take the lead for good. Drew also held a lead early in the second set, and it was 8-6 in favor of the Rangers before the hosts went in front with a 6-2 run and gradually pulled away.

Catholic opened the final set on a 7-2 run before the Rangers scored three straight points. However, the Cardinals used a 6-2 surge to go up 13-7 and continued to build on their lead the rest of the way.
