SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. – Sophomore Josephine Nguyen took the lead on the opening round of the Landmark Conference Fall Preview, held at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
 
As a team, the Rangers are in third place after opening with a 354. Catholic leads the team standings with a 334 while Susquehanna is in second with a 338.
 
Nguyen fired a 78 and holds a one-stroke lead over Catholic's Gabrielle Courtney. Nguyen recorded a steady opening, shooting even-par on 12 holes.
 
Senior Roxy Riles is just two strokes out of the lead and is tied with Susquehanna's Kennedy Petrovich for third place in the field of 46. Riles shot even-par on 10 holes, including her first eight holes on the back-9, where she shot a 37.
 
Sophomore Isabella Borte and senior Emily Rhode rounded out the team scoring, with each shooting a 98 to place them in a tie for 22nd. Rhode birdied the par-5 sixth hole.
 
Junior Dabin Lee is in 29th place after opening with a 102.
 
The second and final round gets underway at 10:39 a.m. on Sunday back at Shawnee.
