MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's volleyball team swept both Lycoming College and the City College of New York to finish 2-0 at a home tri-match on Saturday in Baldwin Gym.
The Rangers opened the day with a 3-0 victory over Lycoming to capture its first Landmark Conference win of the season, prevailing by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-16. Drew wrapped up with another 3-0 triumph, topping CCNY 25-9, 25-16, 25-23.
Against Lycoming, sophomore
Lindsey Millis totaled 11 kills and 14 digs while senior
Emily Shirk also tallied 11 kills. Senior
Inaya Stanford totaled eight kills, and junior
Alyssa Rachwal registered 30 assists and four service aces. Freshman
Coco Otto and sophomore
Aidyn Stone chipped in with 12 digs each.
The Rangers relied on a team effort versus CCNY, as 11 different players recorded a kill. Senior
Marissa Guajardo led the way with eight kills and did not record an error on 10 swings en route to an .800 hitting performance. Freshman
Cristina Coombs and Rachwal distributed 16 and 11 assists, respectively, while Otto recorded 12 digs and four aces.
Drew continues its season on Tuesday, when it visits Marywood University in a non-conference match starting at 5 p.m.
