WASHINGTON – The Drew University women's soccer team saw its 2025 season come to a close with a 3-0 loss at No. 3-seeded Catholic University in the first round of the Landmark Conference Championship tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Sarah Crowley made a season-high seven saves for the No. 6-seeded Rangers (6-9-3), who were making their fourth consecutive appearance in the Landmark Conference Championships.
Ava Gregorio scored in the seventh minute to hand the Cardinals (10-6-3) what held up as the game-winning goal. However, Crowley turned aside four shots in the opening half and Catholic led just 1-0 at the half.
The hosts pulled away early in the second period with goals from Peyton Coron in the 52nd minute and Sam Cesario in the 61st minute.
Freshman
Gretchen Higgins placed the lone shot on goal for Drew in the 84th minute but had it saved by Catholic keeper Ava Rieger.
