All-Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Team

James Cahill has earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference First Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
It was the second career all-conference award for Cahill, who was also an honorable mention selection following his sophomore campaign in 2023.
Starting all 20 games, Cahill finished as the team's second-leading scorer, posting 10 points on three goals and four assists. In his biggest goal of the season, he struck on a penalty kick in the fifth minute of Drew's postseason victory at Goucher College, and he also converted the second PK in a shootout victory at Scranton in the Landmark Conference semifinals. In addition, Cahill recorded one goal and one assist in a 4-3 win over Immaculata University, scored a goal in a 2-0 victory over DeSales University, and provided an assist on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 Landmark Conference victory over Juniata College. Also one of the team's most durable players, he finished second on the team in minutes played and went the full 90 minutes in all but four games.
For his career, Cahill did not miss a single game, playing in all 76 of Drew's matches over the last four years while starting the team's last 58 contests. He finished with 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists.
Cahill helped lead the Rangers to an outstanding bounce-back season this past fall in which the squad posted a final record of 11-6-3. After the team finished ninth in the conference standings in 2024, the Rangers placed fifth this season to earn the No. 5 seed in the Landmark Conference Championship tournament. Drew went on to upset two higher-seeded teams on the road to reach the Landmark championship game for the fourth time in team history. The Blue and Green opened the postseason with a 2-0 first-round victory at No. 4 seed Goucher College, then in the semifinals at top-seeded, No. 17-ranked, and undefeated University of Scranton, the Rangers won a penalty-kick shootout 5-4 after a 1-1 tie in regulation and two overtime periods.
