MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's basketball team outscored Penn State Harrisburg 22-0 to start the game and Rangers cruised to a 69-33 non-conference victory Sunday afternoon in Baldwin Gym.

Brenna Hezel posted season-highs of 13 points and eight rebounds for Drew (5-2), which won its third game in a row. Senior guard
Maddie Beyer handed out a career-high 10 assists over just three quarters of play while freshman forward
Molly Chapman added eight points and a season-high nine rebounds. Junior guard
Alice Altomare contributed nine points for the Rangers, who had 11 different players score figure into the scoring column.
Drew outrebounded the Lions 53-31 and forced Harrisburg into 20 turnovers, which were converted into 19 points.
Mikayla Coleman scored seven points for the Lions (1-6).
Harrisburg's 33 points were the fewest scored by a Drew opponent since an 89-32 victory over Juniata College on Feb. 1, 2023.
The game marked the first-ever meeting between the two schools in women's basketball.
The Rangers received balanced scoring during their decisive early run, as six different players scored during the stretch, which was capped by an old-fashioned 3-point play from sophomore guard
Jocelyn Kingsley with 35 seconds left in the first quarter. Meanwhile, Harrisburg missed its first 12 field-goal attempts before scoring on its last two possessions of the opening period to make it 22-5.
Harrisburg followed up with the first four points of the second quarter to make it 22-9 with 7:53 on the clock. Drew held a 26-11 lead with 5:27 left in the half before using a 12-2 run to push its advantage to 25 with just under three minutes to go. Chapman scored six straight points late in the run and the Rangers led 38-15 at the intermission.
Drew continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring the Lions 17-11 in the third quarter and 14-7 in the final stanza. The Rangers' lead hit 30 (48-18) with 4:48 to go in the third period and the hosts led 55-26 heading into the fourth quarter, when Drew's defense took over. The Blue and Green shut out Harrisburg for over eight minutes in the period, when the Lions managed only three field goals.
The Rangers return to Landmark Conference action on Wednesday, when they visit No. 14-ranked Elizabethtown College at 7 p.m.
