Amy Rachilla has been named to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II/III Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced on Tuesday.
Rachilla posted 19 points and a career-high 10 rebounds for her second career double-double to lead the Rangers to an 84-41 non-conference over Raritan Valley this past Wednesday. She also posted four steals, three assists, and just one turnover over 19 minutes of play while shooting 9-for-13 from the field.
For the season, Rachilla has averaged a team-leading 9.6 points per game while shooting 48.7% from the floor, including 40.0% from 3-point range. She has also the Rangers with 2.2 steals per game while ranking second on the team in assists (2.8 apg) and third (tied) in rebounding (4.0 rpg).
The MBWA media panel selects one men's and one women's player of the week and an honor roll from nominations received for Division I schools, plus one men's and one women's player of the week and an honor roll from nominations received for Division II and III schools combined. The Division II/III designation encompasses players from 45 Met area schools.
The Rangers (7-4, 2-2 LC) continue their season on Wednesday, Jan. 7, when they host Goucher College in a Landmark Conference tilt starting at 7 p.m.
