MADISON, N.J. – Senior
Isabelle Lalo celebrated Senior Day in style, scoring a career-high 14 points to help lead the Drew University women's basketball team to a 69-48 Landmark Conference victory over Lycoming College Saturday afternoon in Baldwin Gym.
Lalo scored the first points of the game with a 3-pointer 45 seconds into the contest and the Rangers (11-8, 6-6 LC) never trailed the rest of the way.
After leading 20-14 at the end of the first quarter, Drew broke it open in the second quarter, when it outscored the Warriors 22-10 to open up an 18-point halftime advantage. The Rangers, who swept their season series from the Warriors, led by at least 16 the rest of the way.
Defensively, the Rangers held Lycoming to 30.1% shooting and allowed just one 3-pointer on 20 attempts.
Lalo, making her second career start, shot 4-for-11 from the field and 5-for-5 at the foul line.

Gianna Pica added 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals for Drew while sophomore guard
Amy Rachilla posted 12 points while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point territory. Sophomore guard

Jocelyn McCracken scored 13 points for Lycoming (3-16, 2-10 LC).
Drew pushed its lead to nine (16-7) midway through the first quarter but the Warriors came back with six unanswered point to make it a three-point game. The Rangers came back with a layup from Kingsley and a pair of free throws from Pica as Drew assumed its six-point lead after one period of play.
The Rangers used a 9-2 run early in the second quarter to open up a 14-point advantage (32-18) with 5:14 on the clock. Altomare sparked the run with a jumper and capped it with a 3-pointer.
Drew continued to pull away in the second quarter and went ahead 40-22 on a conventional 3-point play from Kingsley. A jumper from junior center
Brenna Hezel with 35 ticks showing gave the Rangers a 42-24 lead at the break.
The Rangers edged Lycoming 10-8 in a low-scoring third quarter, when they held the visitors to 25.0% shooting. They saw their lead soar over 20 when Rachilla drained a 3-pointer to put her team up 47-26 midway through the quarter and carried a 52-32 lead into the final stanza.
The offense picked up in the fourth quarter, when Drew edged Lycoming 17-16. But the Warriors never got closer than 18 in the period.
The Rangers continue their season on Wednesday, when they visit Moravian University in another Landmark Conference tilt starting at 7 p.m.
