MADISON, N.J. – Senior
Josh Kline won at No. 6 singles to clinch a 4-3 victory over Ursinus College in a non-conference tilt Wednesday at the Drew Tennis Complex.
Kline, less than two weeks removed from a standout basketball season, won by a final of 6-4, 6-3 to hand the match to the Rangers (4-4), who picked up their first victory of the spring.
Drew opened the match by capturing the doubles point, winning at both of the top spots. Sophomore
Daniel Arcari and junior
Jesse Faro won 6-1 at No. 1 while senior
Sergey Kravchenko and junior
Shivi Perera prevailed 6-1 at No. 2.
In singles, Faro and Arcari both won again. Faro notched a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 1 while Arcari captured a 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 2 before Kline recorded his match-clincher.
The Rangers are back in Landmark Conference action on Saturday, when they visit Catholic University at 1 p.m.
