All-Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Team
TOWSON, Md. – For the first time in her career, junior forward
Gianna Pica of the Drew University women's basketball team has earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Team, capturing second-team status.
Pica turned in a breakout season in 2024-25, averaging a team-leading 14.7 points per game – an improvement of over nine points per night from her previous career-high. She also led the Rangers in rebounding (5.6 ppg) and was second in 3-pointers made (39), steals (1.8 spg), and blocked shots (0.5 bpg). Among the Landmark Conference leaders, she currently ranks fifth in scoring and eighth in 3-pointers made per game (1.4).
Pica scored 20 or more points in nine different games, including a career-high 26-point performance in a Landmark Conference victory over Goucher. She also scored 23 points versus then-No. 16 Catholic, and she posted double-doubles in wins over Raritan Valley (21 points, 11 rebounds) and Saint Elizabeth (21 points, 10 rebounds).
Pica helped lead the Rangers to a 15-12 record and a 9-9 mark in Landmark Conference play. Drew qualified for the Landmark Conference Championship tournament for the second year in a row and knocked off Susquehanna in the first round.
