MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team competed against The College of New Jersey on Friday at the Drew Tennis Complex in its final regular-season home match of the season and lost by a final of 7-0.
The Lions, ranked No. 50 in the last ITA Division III rankings, won the doubles point before claiming all six singles matches.
Prior to the start of the match, the Rangers recognized their three seniors -
Josh Kline,
Sergey Kravchenko, and
Owen Reynolds - in a brief ceremony.
In singles play, freshman
Dikshan Chhikara posted the closest match but came up on the short end of a 6-2, 7-5 decision. Kline lost by a final of 6-1, 6-4 while sophomore
Daniel Arcari dropped a 6-3, 6-1 verdict.
The Rangers (8-8) wrap up regular-season play on Tuesday, when they visit the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference affair starting at 4 p.m.
