SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. – Freshman Josephine Nguyen captured the Landmark Conference individual title and the Drew University women's golf team finished second on a tiebreaker at the Landmark Conference Championships, held at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Saturday and Sunday.

The Rangers and Catholic University finished the 36-hole tournament with identical scores of 649, and conference rules state the tournament should be decided by comparing scores of each team's No. 5 golfers in the second round. Two Catholic golfers shot an 86 on Sunday while Drew's No. 5 carded a 94, giving the tiebreaker and the tournament title to the Cardinals. It was the first year in Landmark Conference history that a tiebreaker was needed to crown a team champion.

The competition between Drew and Catholic was tight throughout the entire tournament, as the Rangers held a one-stroke lead (319-320) after Saturday's opening round. On Sunday, the Cardinals shot a 329 while Drew posted a 330.

Nguyen, who a shot a 150 (75-75), was named both the Landmark Conference Women's Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year as the top freshman finisher. She becomes the fourth Landmark Conference women's golf individual champion and the first since Kayla Diaz C'24 in 2022.

Junior Roxy Riles was Drew's second finisher, placing fourth with a 161 (80-81). By virtue of her top-six finish, Riles earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference First Team for the third year in a row.

Freshman Cassandra Sengul placed third among the Rangers, taking eighth among 44 competitors with a 166 (83-83). By finishing in seventh through 12th place, she captured a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Second Team.

Junior Emily Rhode completed the team scoring with a 175 (81-94), good for a 14th-place finish, while first-year Isabella Borte was one stroke back, placing 15th with a 181 (90-91). Both Rhode and Borte garnered All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention by placing between 13th and 15th place.
