MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University baseball team scored a run in six of its eight innings at the plate and the Rangers picked up their second win in as many days with a 13-9 non-conference victory over The City College of New York Wednesday afternoon at Doc Young Field at Lonnstrom Stadium.

The Rangers (19-18) never trailed after jumping to a 3-0 first-inning lead. Freshman
Frank Master finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs while senior
Anthony Hernandez was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple. In addition, senior
Will Fritch launched his team-leading fourth home run of the season.

Seven pitchers took the mound for Drew, including sophomore
Justin Bonito, who started and worked three innings for a non-decision, allowing two runs while striking out three. Freshman
Ryan Reynolds (1-0) tossed a scoreless fourth inning to earn his first collegiate win while sophomore
Alex Feeney also blanked CCNY for an inning.

Fritch capped Drew's three-run first inning with a two-run homer over the left-centerfield fence, and the Rangers tacked on three more runs over the next two innings to open up a 6-2 lead.

The Rangers also pushed across three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to stretch their lead to 12-5 after six innings of play before the Beavers (8-11) scored four runs over the last three innings.
