MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team won all nine singles and doubles matches en route to a 7-0 Landmark Conference victory over Elizabethtown College on Saturday in the Simon Forum.
The Rangers (6-7, 3-2 LC) opened the day by capturing the doubles point. Juniors
Jesse Faro and
Shivi Perera won 6-4 at No. 1 while sophomores
Ty Gelijns and
Nicolas Mobayed prevailed 7-5 at No. 2. Seniors
Josh Kline and
Sergey Kravchenko contributed a 6-3 victory at No. 3.
In singles play, Drew won all six matches in straight sets. Faro won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 while Mobayed was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 2. Perera captured a 6-2, 6-1 decision at No. 3, and Kline picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4.
Logging additional wins were Gelijns at No. 5 (6-0, 6-1) and Kravchenko at No. 6 (6-0, 6-2).
The Rangers pick up their schedule on Tuesday, when they visit the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference affair starting at 4 p.m.
