MADISON, N.J. – Sophomore
Grace Patane scored a career-high five goals and handed out one assist, but Elizabethtown College used a big first quarter to hand the Drew University women's lacrosse team a 15-9 setback in Landmark Conference action on Saturday at a wet Ranger Stadium.
Patane's five goals were the most by a Ranger this season and one more than her previous career-best set last season.

Emily Monaco added two goals and six draw controls for Drew while classmate
Aubrey Welch tied a career-high with 10 draw controls. Sophomore
Brooke Carlisle picked up five ground balls, and freshman
Rorrie Sifers made nine saves in her first collegiate start.
Drew Bridges scored six goals for the Blue Jays (8-3, 3-1 LC) while Rachel Murphy collected 16 saves.
Elizabethtown jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter, then scored the first two goals in the second quarter. However, the Rangers climbed back into it after Patane scored three straight goals to cut the deficit to 8-4 with 2:09 left in the opening half. Bridges struck with 13 ticks showing to make it a 9-4 game at the intermission.
The Rangers ended the third quarter on a 3-1 run to pull to within 11-7 after three periods of play. Patane scored less than a minute into the quarter before freshman
Kristina Lowe struck with 9:34 on the clock. Patane converted again with 1:50 showing to cap the run.
The Blue Jays pulled away in the final period, when it outscored the Rangers 4-2. Monaco scored both of her goals in the stanza.
Drew continues its season on Wednesday, when it hosts the University of Scranton at 4 p.m. in another Landmark Conference affair.
