MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's lacrosse team lost by a final of 16-5 to the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference matchup Wednesday afternoon in Ranger Stadium.
The conference-leading Royals (8-5, 5-0 LC) led just 3-1 at the end of the first quarter but pulled away over the final three periods.
Sophomore
Grace Patane and junior
Aubrey Welch scored two goals apiece for the Rangers while freshman
Hayden Scotti handed out two assists. In addition, freshman
Zoey Pipher notched five draw controls, junior
Emily Monaco contributed three caused turnovers, and freshman
Rorrie Sifers made nine saves.
Grace Lane scored five goals for Scranton, which had 10 different players score at least once.
The Rangers return to Landmark Conference play on Saturday, when they visit Lycoming College at noon.
