MADISON, N.J. – David Bodden has been named as the Associate Athletic Director for Development, Club Sports and Compliance, Director of Athletics

Bodden brings nearly a decade of experience in collegiate athletics and most recently served as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Rutgers University from 2022-25, working primarily with the Scarlet Knight men's and women's lacrosse teams. He handled additional duties as Internship Director/Coordinator for the Strength & Conditioning department in which he oversaw the internship curriculum and the scheduling of interns.

Prior to his tenure at Rutgers, Bodden worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Princeton University from 2021-22 and was directly responsible for the programming of men's and women's ice hockey, field hockey, men's tennis, and men's squash. He was also the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Colgate University from 2019-21 and Iona College from 2018-19.

Bodden is returning to familiar territory after watching his brother, baseball standout and Drew Hall of Famer Michael Bodden C'13, compete for the Rangers from 2010-13.

"I'm incredibly honored to step into the role of Associate Athletic Director at Drew University, a place that's felt like home long before this opportunity," said Bodden. "I've spent countless hours here over the years, cheering on my brother and his teammates as well as many of his friends who competed in other sports. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the pride, tradition, and community that define Drew Athletics.

"I'm excited to now serve the same campus that gave so much to my family, and I look forward to supporting our student-athletes and coaches as we continue to build a culture of excellence both on and off the field," added Bodden.

Bodden graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2016 with a BS in exercise science and again in 2018 with an MS in exercise science and nutrition.
