WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll
ATLANTA – The Drew University women's basketball team has been recognized for its outstanding performance in the classroom this past season with a No. 11 ranking on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.
The Rangers sported a 3.774 team GPA for the year – tops among all Division III women's basketball teams in the state of New Jersey as well the Landmark Conference. The squad earned a number of additional academic honors this season, as 12 team members were named to the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll while four also captured a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
Drew has now earned a spot on the Honor Roll for the second year in a row after gaining "Special Mention" last season.
This past season, the Rangers finished 15-12 and 9-9 in Landmark Conference play. Drew qualified for the Landmark Conference Championship tournament for the second year in a row and knocked off Susquehanna in the first round for the team's first-ever conference playoff victory.
