Team Academic Award Recipients

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Drew University men's soccer team has been honored for its performance in the classroom last season, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.

For a team to be considered for the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appear on the official NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA or junior college roster forms for the fall season.

Led by Head Coach Lenny Armuth, the Rangers posted a 3.28 GPA a year ago. In addition, 17 members of the team were named to the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll this past season, with David Hoyt C'24 earning the Landmark's Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award for men's soccer.

A total of 741 teams (303 men, 438 women) earned the Team Academic Award. Drew was one of 168 schools who had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
