TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore midfielder Emily Caporrino and junior goalie Beth Kelly have been selected as the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Athletes of the Week.
 
The Offensive Athlete of the Week, Caporrino recorded a goal in back-to-back games in a 2-0 week for the Rangers. In a 5-1 victory at Manhattanville University, she scored late in the third quarter to give her team a commanding 4-1 lead. Then in a 3-0 win at Neumann University, she broke open a scoreless game when she tallied midway through the second quarter with what held up as the game-winner.
 
For the season, Caporrino leads the Rangers with three goals and has scored once in each of the team's first three games.
 
Kelly, the Defensive AOW, posted a 0.75 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage over a pair of starts in the cage. She opened the week with five saves in the victory at Manhattanville, then turned aside six shots while recording her first shutout of the season versus Neumann.
 
On the year, Kelly has registered a 0.67 goals-against average and a .846 save percentage while playing every minute between the pipes. 
 
Drew (3-0) plays its home opener on Wednesday, when it hosts William Paterson University in a non-conference tilt starting at 4 p.m.
