MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team kicked off the primary portion of its schedule at home versus a tough Ithaca College squad, which defeated the Rangers 7-0 in a non-conference match-up Friday evening in the Simon Forum.

Jesse Faro prevailed 6-2. However, the Bombers claimed doubles point with victories at the second and third spots.
Both Faro and Arcari put up close battles at the top of the singles lineup. At the No. 1 position, Faro nearly forced a third set in a 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) loss. And at second singles, Arcari captured the opening set 6-4, but his opponent rallied to win 6-4 in the second set before claiming a 10-8 victory in the tiebreaker.
The Rangers complete a three-match weekend when they host a tri-match on Saturday. Drew takes on The College of New Jersey at 10 a.m. before facing Dickinson College at 4 p.m.
