MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its schedule on Friday versus Ithaca College on Friday in the Simon Forum and the Bombers came away with a 6-1 victory.
Ithaca opened the match by winning first and third doubles to claim the doubles point. For Drew, sophomore
Nicole Kalorin and junior
Riley Roesel won 7-6 (8-6) at second doubles.
Drew captured its point at No. 6 singles via injury withdrawal. Senior
Natalia Zamora nearly captured the opening set in a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 loss while Kalorin also played a tight first set in a 7-5, 6-1 loss at fourth singles.
The Rangers play two more home matches as part of a home tri-match on Sunday. Drew takes on The College of New Jersey at 10 a.m. before facing Dickinson College at 4 p.m.
