MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University men's tennis team won its sixth consecutive match with a 5-2 Landmark Conference victory over Juniata College on Saturday at the Drew Tennis Complex.
With the win, the Rangers (9-5, 5-0 LC) remained tied with Catholic University (5-0) and Moravian University (4-0) for first place in the Landmark Conference standings.
Drew won the doubles point before clinching the match with victories at the top four singles matches.
In doubles play, junior
Daniel Arcari and senior
Jesse Faro teamed up for a 6-2 victory at the No. 1 position, while junior
Nicolas Mobayed and senior
Shivi Perera prevailed by the same score at No. 2 as the Rangers opened the match with a 1-0 lead.
Faro also registered a three-set victory in singles play, winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 1. Arcari registered a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 2 while Mobayed was a 7-5, 6-3 winner at No. 3. In addition, junior
Ty Gelijns captured a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 victory at the No. 4 spot.
The Rangers are back in action on Thursday, when they visit Moravian at 3:30 p.m. in a Landmark Conference showdown.
