BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – The Drew University men's golf team tied for sixth among 12 teams at the Battle at Basking Ridge, hosted by Stevens Institute, on Monday at the Basking Ridge Country Club.
The Rangers, who shot a 334, were led by junior
Eric Castner, who placed 21st among 65 golfers with a 9-over-par 80 while posting a pair of birdies.
Senior
Liam Larkin was just one stroke behind, tying for 22nd. He also birdied two holes.
Rounding out the team score were freshmen
Shreyas Kuntamukkala, who tied for 41st with an 85, and
Noah Erickson, who tied for 47th with an 88. Senior
Max Conklin also competed and shot a 97 to finish 60th.
Stevens, led by medalist Jack Harris' 71, won the team title with a 296.
The Rangers return to action on Thursday, when a B team competes at the Stevenson Invitational, held at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Md.
