SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. – Senior Roxy Riles captured medalist honors to lead the Drew University women's golf team to a runner-up finish at the Conquer the Island tournament on Wednesday at the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort.
 
As a team, the Rangers shot a 332, finishing just three strokes behind Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna for the title in the field of eight teams. Scranton (370) was a distant third.
 
The match served as a preview of sorts for the Rangers, who will compete at the Landmark Conference Championships at the same course this weekend.
 
Riles won her second tournament of the season, and it was her second victory in her last four events. She fired a 3-over-par 75, edging out Susquehanna's Kennedy Petrovich by one stroke. She carded an eagle on the par-4 seventh hole and shot even par on 12 holes.
 
Sophomore Josephine Nguyen placed third in the field of 41 golfers while posting three birdies. Classmate Isabella Borte came in 10th with an 87 while senior Emily Rhode took 15th with a 92. Junior Dabin Lee also comped and placed 30th with a 104.
 
The Landmark Conference Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday back at Shawnee.
