MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's tennis team lost by a 6-1 count to the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference match at a sunny, windy Drew Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
 
The Royals (8-2, 4-0) opened the match by winning the doubles point after capturing all three doubles matches.
 
Scranton also won five of the six singles matches. Drew (7-8, 3-2 LC) recorded lone victory at No. 5 singles, where junior Danielle Pettoni recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win to improve to 3-1 in conference play.
 
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday, when they host Juniata College at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
