TOWSON, Md. – Haley Meierhofer has been selected as the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year for softball, it was announced on Friday.

The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications directors, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees.

Meierhofer is Drew's fourth Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year this season, following Emily Camlet C'26 (women's indoor track & field), Roxy Riles C'26 (women's golf), and Natalia Zamora C'26 (women's tennis). She is the second Ranger to win the award in softball, joining Jeramie Barletta C'13.

On the diamond, Meierhofer enjoyed an outstanding career for the Rangers as a four-year starter at second base. She was a three-time All-Landmark Conference selection and was also an NFCA Third Team All-Region honoree in 2025. For her career, she finished fourth all-time at drew in doubles (30) and stolen bases (41), fifth in hits (145), and sixth in runs (89). She played in 148 games and made 144 starts, finishing with a .309 batting average. A team captain during her senior campaign, Meierhofer helped the team to a four-year record of 91-70 and back-to-back appearances in the Landmark Conference Championships during her junior and senior years. In her next-to-last game as a Ranger, she provided one of the top moments in recent program history with a walk-off double versus Susquehanna that gave the team its first-ever Landmark Conference playoff victory.

Academically, Meierhofer was a double major in Psychology and Italian Studies with minors in Education and Marketing. She finished with a 3.94 GPA while earning numerous honors along the way. She twice earned a spot on both the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll, with a third selection expected in both. She also gained entry into the Education (Kappa Delta Pi), Psychology (Psi Chi), Italian (Gamma Kappa Alpha) and College Athlete (Tau Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma) honor societies in addition to Phi Beta Kappa for finishing in the top 10 percent of her graduating class. A recipient of Drew's Arts and McClintock scholarships, she also was a member of the Dean's List.

Meierhofer was also heavily involved with additional on-campus activities, including serving as the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the social media coordinator of the Italian Club. She was also a member of the Connect with Kids club, and along with members of the Drew softball team, participated in Rise Against Hunger at Liquid Church, packaging food during Christmastime. She also collaborated and planned an event with Saint Huber's Animal Shelter to allow student-athletes at Drew to take out the dogs at the shelter for the day, and she organized various fundraising events for the softball team for its spring break trips.
