MADISON, N.J. – Five members of the Drew University softball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Seniors Olivia Magliacano, Aurora Marino, and Haley Meierhofer and juniors Natalie Lorenzo and Allie Porbansky captured a spot on the squad. It was the third year in a row that Magliacano and Meierhofer were recognized with the award.

Additionally, Magliacano was chosen as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America® program in softball, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. They must also compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the team's contests while pitchers must make 17 appearances or pitch 35 innings. Each school may nominate a maximum of five student-athletes for the CSC Academic All-America® program in softball.

A Psychology major, Magliacano also garnered First Team All-Landmark Conference recognition for the second year in a row this past season. The team's starting centerfielder, she batted .357 while leading the Rangers in several categories, including doubles (11), triples (eight), home runs (three), and RBIs (25). She was even better in Landmark Conference games in which she batted .449 with nine doubles, six runs, and seven RBIs. Defensively, she has committed just one error and fired in three outfield assists.

Meierhofer, an Italian Studies and Psychology double major, captured her third career All-Landmark Conference award this past year, earning honorable mention status. She was also selected as the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year for softball. The team's starting second baseman, she finished as the team's fourth-leading hitter (.333). She was also second on the team in doubles (nine), second in stolen bases (13) and third in runs scored (27) while adding one triple, one home run, and 19 RBIs. Defensively, she posted a .986 fielding percentage, making just two errors on the season.

A Political Science major, Lorenzo also captured All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention this past season. The team's starting catcher, she started all but six games and threw out nine would-be base stealers, the most by a Ranger since Nicole Spiotta C'11 had 13 in 2010. At the plate, she has batted .267 while posting five doubles, two triples, and 12 runs scored. Lorenzo graduated early this past spring after three years at The Forest.

Marino, a Biology major, is coming off a season in which she played in and started 31 games, primarily at third base. She finished the season with 18 hits, including three doubles, to go with nine RBIs and eight runs scored. In addition, she posted a .936 fielding percentage, committing just five errors on the season, and recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage over 31 chances during Landmark Conference regular-season play.

Porbansky, a Psychology major, turned in a strong season at pitcher in 2026. She finished 9-4 with a 2.47 ERA while leading the team in numerous categories, including wins, innings pitched (90 2/3), appearances (18), starts (15), complete games (11), shutouts (tied, two), and strikeouts (44). Porbansky also graduated early, finishing her degree in three seasons.

Drew finished this past season with a 25-19 record and an 8-8 mark in Landmark Conference play, good for the No. 3 seed in the Landmark Conference Championship tournament. The team also made its first repeat appearance in the Landmark Conference Championships in team history and went on to post its first-ever Landmark postseason victory with its 4-3 win over Susquehanna in an elimination game.
