MADISON, N.J. – Pete Brown and Noah Fradkin have been added to the Drew University men's basketball coaching staff, Head Coach Ryan Van Zelst has announced.
 
Brown comes to The Forest after spending the last several years coaching in numerous capacities at Don Bosco Preparatory School in Ramsey, N.J., including the last two as the head junior varsity coach. During his time on staff, Brown helped coach Dylan Harper, the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA draft, and Ron Harper Jr., a current NBA player. In addition, Brown has coached at the collegiate level as an assistant coach at the Virginia University of Lynchburg during the 2011-12 season.
 
Brown has also earned experience as the founder of both a player development business (Pete Brown Training 33 LLC) and a basketball camp/academy. In addition, he has worked as coach for the Summer Heat Sports AAU team over the last 10 years.
 
Brown also competed in basketball both collegiately and professionally. He was a standout forward at Division I UNC Greensboro, where he led the Southern Conference in blocked shots and received his team's Defensive Player Award during his senior year in 2009-10. He then embarked on a professional career that started with the Lynchburg Legends of the ABA in 2011-12 and included stops with the Oshawa Power in Canada (2012), Tigres Tecoatl in Mexico (2015), and Canarios Once Municipal in El Salvador (2015-16). He graduated from UNC Greensboro with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in African American studies.
 
Fradkin provides the Rangers with a strong background in collegiate coaching after serving as a graduate assistant at Rutgers University during the 2024-25 season. In his role, he supported all aspects of the basketball program for a staff of eight Big Ten coaches. He also served as the staff video coordinator, providing individualized content for practices, games, and transfer portal evaluations. His responsibilities also included preparing opponent scouting reports, providing analytics and statistical breakdowns, overseeing 26 student managers, and assisting with travel logistics and expense management, among numerous other duties.
 
Most recently, Fradkin served as the freshman basketball coach and assistant varsity coach at Newtown High School (Newtown, Conn.) during the 2025-26 season. He prepared and conducted all team-related activities, including practice planning, skill instruction, film analysis, scouting preparation, game strategy, and player development.
 
Fradkin earned both his bachelor's degree in sport management and his master's degree in global sports business from Rutgers University.
