MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's volleyball team took on a strong Kean University squad in its season and home opener on Tuesday evening in Baldwin Gym, and the Cougars came away with a 3-0 victory.

Lindsey Millis paced Drew with 12 kills while senior transfer
Victoria Latino made the most of her Ranger debut, posting nine kills and six digs.

Alyssa Rachwal handed out 18 assists for the Blue and Green while junior
Aidyn Stone contributed 15 digs.
Sporting its largest roster in team history, Drew had a total of 14 players enter the match.
Ashley Torok posted 16 kills and 10 digs for Kean, which is coming off a 30-win season and NCAA tournament berth a year ago.
The first set was close early on before the Cougars used an 8-2 run to open up a six-point lead (14-8) before gradually pulling away. Millis and Latino threw down four kills apiece in the opening set.
The second set was tied 10-10 before Kean took the lead for good with a 3-0 spurt. A kill from Latino made it 16-13, but the Cougars answered with a 5-1 surge and led by at least four the rest of the way.
The first half of the final set was also a back-and-forth affair, and the Rangers trailed just 18-17 after a kill from Millis. But that's when Kean scored five unanswered points, and the Cougars held off a late 3-1 Drew run.
The Rangers return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Salisbury University Margie Knight Classic. Drew takes on Salisbury on Friday at 4 p.m. before facing Lebanon Valley at 1 p.m. and Muskingum at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
