Why did you choose Drew University?
I heard about Drew University from a friend of mine that graduated from here. After speaking and eventually meeting with Coach Keckler and Sunita Bhargava on a visit, I knew that Drew University was the right place for me.

Why did you choose your major and what is your favorite course?
I entered Drew University as a transfer student, so I had already declared my major (Sociology). The original reason why I chose Sociology was after an intro class I had at my previous university; in addition to that, I want to go into law and I believe that understanding people from different societal backgrounds will play an intricate role in my success.

What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
So far it has been my first game. I took a few years off from college basketball, so returning was a big step and a great feeling.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
As an athlete, you become very competitive and that competitive nature has helped me in the classroom; always striving to be the best (i.e. grades, participation, etc.)

What is the most difficult part of your sport?
I love basketball. Physically it can be taxing at times, but I truly feel blessed to be able to play, so I never consider aspects of the sport as difficult.

Why do you wear your jersey number?
I wore the number 5 my freshman and sophomore year of college, so I stuck with it now for my junior and senior year.

What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
As a student, stay on top of your classes and be well connected with your professors. As an athlete, stay working hard on your skill because you never know when your number will be called; be ready for that day.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
A lot of times student-athletes are in the limelight and are looked upon to set examples. We are frequently presented as the representation of the university and community service is a great way to show the universities relationship with the community. As student-athletes, we are more than capable of being involved in some sort of community service and it is our duty to do so in the best way that we can.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome...
Returning to college was a major obstacle for me. I had to make a lot of sacrifices just to be here, but I truly believe it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. I could have stayed within my comfort zone, but it was imperative for me to finish my education, so I decided to take the risk and return to college full-time. There was adversity along the way, but now that I am here and working towards bettering myself, it makes those challenges that I had to go through all worth it.
