Drew University Athletics

I felt Drew would give me the resources necessary to succeed academically and athletically.  Being a small university allows for the development of invaluable relationships with both professors and coaches.

I am a Political Science major.  The theoretical framework of this discipline can provide the core competence needed in many career paths.  My favorite course to this point has been Education Policy with Professor McGuinn.

The time commitment needed to play a college sport provides structure and it forced me to be organized and stay focused.

It's difficult when there are long stretches in a game when I see no direct action, then suddenly I am called upon to come up with a big save.

Traditionally the number "1" is designated to the goalkeeper.  I've been wearing it for most of my life.

Take advantage of visiting campus as much as possible.  Utilize the people around you for advice.  Students, faculty, and coaches do an amazing job of helping new students feel comfortable.

Community service provides an opportunity to represent Drew University.  It is an opportunity to show the community the caliber of a Drew student-athlete, to share our insights and philosophies about hard work, community contribution, and the drive to be the best we can be.

Learning how to accept my mistakes on and off the field, learning how to let things go, and recognizing what I can learn from those mistakes in order to improve.
