Why did you choose Drew University?
I chose Drew University for a multitude of reasons. The combination of a great academic setting and social environment were the ultimate deciding factors. When I came to visit Drew while I was in high school I had already felt as if I was a part of a family.

What is something most people don't know about you?
I have sixty stitches in my head. Fifty from hitting my head on a fire place and ten from crashing heads with my neighbor.

What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
The most memorable moment thus far has been walking off the field after getting my first career shut out and win.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
Coach Armuth has always stressed the importance of grades and time management.  I learned early on that the only way I would succeed on the field and in the classroom was if I kept a well balanced schedule.

What is the most difficult part of your sport?
Staying focused throughout the entirety of a game. I might not face a shot for the entire game but then need to make a save in the last minute in order to help get us that win.

Why do you wear your jersey number?
Ever since I became the starter for my varsity high school team the number 1 has been my favorite number to wear on the field.

What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
Academics and athletics always come first. However, make sure you enjoy yourself. If you aren't studying or practicing, go meet some new people, explore the beautiful area of Madison, or just sit back and relax for a bit with your roommate.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
As a student-athlete we try to represent our university as best as we can. Community service is imperative to the majority of student-athletes. We want to be able to give back to those who need help whenever we can not only to represent our university and teams but because we know it's the right thing to do.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome...
Staying focused as the back-up goal keeper for two years. There were times when it was difficult but I was lucky enough to have a great mentor and friend in the previous starting goal keeper and have a great coaching staff in Coach Armuth, Coach Masterson, and of course my goal keeper coach, Cesar Barrientos.
