Why did you choose Drew University?
I knew I wanted to play soccer and study Chinese, and I was very interested in participating in Drew's unique off campus programs, like studying abroad and the United Nations semester.

What is something most people don't know about you?
I'm a Chinese Studies major and spent a month in China, but I don't like Chinese food.

What is your most memorable moment as a Ranger?
Finding out that we had to travel back to Juniata for the second time within 4 days. Just kidding, definitely winning the Landmark sophomore year.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
Being a student athlete has helped me to develop really good time management and organization skills. Knowing that I'll be busy with soccer helps me to finish my class assignments early, which then leaves me with more time to relax and prepare before practices and games.

What is the most difficult part of your sport?
It's hard to keep everyone on the same page working towards the same goal. We all want to win the conference, but if we aren't successful in understanding our roles on the team and thrive as individuals then we won't be successful in reaching our goals as a team.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

Growing up I was always #12 or #4. Both numbers were taken by upperclassmen when I came to Drew, so i picked #14 because my favorite player wore it when he wasn't wearing #12 for his national team.

What advice do you have for a prospective Drew University student-athlete?
I'd tell a prospective Drew student-athlete to take advantage of Drew's clubs and activities, especially the off-campus study abroad programs, because you can pursue these opportunities without sacrificing playing your sport.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Drew?
As student-athletes, many people work hard to support our success both in the classroom and on the field. Community service is a way we can work to give back to the community and help others achieve their own success.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome...
Last season I had a concussion that kept me out of classes and soccer for 2 weeks. I'm used to being busy all the time so sitting around for so long was pretty rough. I missed 3 games and had to make up a lot of schoolwork.
