Nick Kilkowski will enter his first year as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Drew University in 2021-22.
"I chose Drew because I believe in Coach Leidl and am excited to build something special at Drew," said Kilkowski.
Since graduating from Marist College in 2017, Kilkowski has been incredibly active in the sport of lacrosse. He is the founder of Kilkowski Scoring Academy in Summit, N.J., which runs skill development clinics for top New Jersey lacrosse teams. He is also the head coach of Building Blocks Lacrosse in Chatham, N.J., leading the offensive skill development trainer and coach for New Jersey's largest and most successful lacrosse business.
Kilkowski has also served as the head coach for Steps Lacrosse in Morristown, N.J. and United Lacrosse in Little Silver, N.J., as well as the assistant varsity coach for the Summit High School boys lacrosse team. Over the last three years at Summit, he has helped lead the Hilltoppers to two group state titles and an appearance in the New Jersey Tournament of Champions final. In addition, he has worked as an on-air broadcast analyst for Verizon Fios as the lead color analyst for Fios TV broadcasts of New Jersey high school lacrosse games.
A well-known name in New Jersey, Kilkowski earned State Player of the Year recognition from the Star-Ledger to cap an incredible career at Summit High School. He scored 252 career points to leave Summit as the school’s all-time leading scorer and helped lead the squad to three state championships as a three-year starter. He also helped Summit capture the Tournament of Champions crown in 2010, the Group 2 title in 2011, and the Group 1 trophy in 2012. He played in the 2012 Champion All-American Showcase in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. In 2011, Kilkowski was named New Jersey Coaches Association’s Attackman of the Year.
As a collegiate student-athlete, Kilkowski played for one season at Rutgers University before transferring to Marist. He helped the Red Foxes to their most successful season in school history in 2015, as Marist won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title, captured the school's first-ever victory in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships, and earned a top-20 national ranking.
