Alan McClintock

Alan McClintock joined Head Coach Lenny Armuth’s staff as a volunteer assistant in 2015 and was promoted to assistant coach ahead of the 2016 season. In 2017, McClintock helped guide the Rangers to the Landmark Conference Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen, finishing with a 21-1-1 record. One year later, he assisted in leading Drew to an ECAC Championship. Over his 10 seasons with the program, McClintock has helped guide the Rangers to six Landmark Conference playoff appearances.

Within the Drew program, McClintock plays an integral role as Armuth’s right-hand man, with particular emphasis on recruitment, on-field coaching, and the development of team culture.

Off the college field, McClintock, a native of Northern Ireland, serves full-time as the Director of Education for USA Sport Group (USA Soccer & US Sports Institute), where he oversees coach development, curriculum design, and staff education across multiple regions.

As a player, McClintock competed in Northern Ireland, England, and the United States with clubs including Institute FC, Limavady United, and NJ Rangers.

As a coach, he spent six seasons as the boys’ assistant varsity coach at Summit High School from 2010–16 and has coached extensively within the New Jersey soccer community. At the senior level, McClintock is a coach and club director with FC Motown, one of the nation’s premier amateur clubs. FC Motown captured its first NPSL National Championship in 2022 and finished as national finalists in 2018, 2023, and 2024, while providing a platform for top local talent such as Dilly Duka and Peter Stroud.

McClintock holds an extensive set of coaching qualifications, including UEFA B, USSF B and C Licenses, FA Levels 1 and 2, and USC Director of Coaching, National, and Advanced National Diplomas. He graduated in 2004 from Liverpool John Moores University in England with a BA (Hons) in Sport Development and Physical Education.
