Biography

2018: Played in 21 games and made 20 starts at center back… Finished with five points on one goal and three assists...Scored a goal in a win over Wesley in the ECAC semifinals...Dished out two assists in the ECAC Championships, posting one apiece in wins over Grove City in the quarterfinals and Rutgers-Newark in the final...Named to the ECAC All-Tournament Team...Became the first men’s soccer player at Drew to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American, earning Third-Team honors...Also honored as the Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

2017: Played in and started all 23 games...Helped the Rangers capture the Landmark Conference title and reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament...Helped the team post 11 shutouts, including a 1-0 victory over Lycoming in the second round of NCAAs...Part of a defense that allowed just one goal in Landmark Conference play...Played over 90 percent of the team’s minutes and was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year...Also named First-Team All-Landmark Conference, Second-Team USC All-Mid-Atlantic Region, and First-Team All-ECAC.

2016: Played in and started 21 games...Helped the Rangers reach the final of the ECAC Championships...Helped his team post 10 shutouts, including 1-0 wins over Rutgers-Camden and Penn State Harrisburg in the quarterfinals and semifinals of ECACs...Notched his first career assist versus Scranton.

2015: A breakout freshman, Cserhat proved to be a pivotal defensive contributor...The first-year southerner netted his first career goal at home against Brooklyn College...Started 14 games on defense and took six shots. 

High School: Played soccer at Taos High School in New Mexico... Named District Player of the Year his freshman and junior years... Selected First Team All-State during his junior and senior years.

Personal: An economics major... Son of Melissa and Alex...Has two siblings, Aidan and Tigerlily... A Civic Scholar... Recipient of the Baldwin Honors Scholarship.
