Men's Soccer Crashes at Catholic

Catholic 2, Drew 0

Drew men's soccer crashed to a disappointing, 2-0, loss at Catholic in Landmark Conference action on Sunday.  The Rangers not only suffered their first conference loss of the season, but gave up the first two goals of their Landmark campaign as well.  Despite the loss, Drew can still secure the top seed and its second straight Landmark regular season title with a win over Susquehanna on Saturday.

Matt Brady scored just two minutes into game off an assist from Nick Sylvester and Tyler Bills added the Cardinals second in the 17th minute again from Sylvester.  David Brigandi made six saves in goal for the Rangers who uncharacteristically allowed 13 shots.

At 5-1 in the Landmark, Drew has 15 points.  Only the Merchant Marine Academy has more with 18, but USMMA has played all seven of its games.  With a win over Susquehanna on Senior Day, the Rangers could have 18 points as well and hold the tiebreaker having won the head-to-head.  Catholic has sixth place Moravian while Susquehanna needs to beat Drew and get some help as it needs to catch fourth place Scranton, who face last place Goucher.
