Rangers Suffer First Conference Loss

HUNTINGDON,Pa. (October 16, 2010) - The Rangers suffered their first conference loss this afternoon when they fell to nationally ranked Juniata. #20Juniata jumped on the board early to defeat Drew, 2-0.

In the first half, the Eagles held the advantage in shots and penalty corners. At the 17th minute, Kim Amrod was able to convert one of the eight awarded penalty corners to go ahead, 1-0. A little more than 10 minutes passed before Amrod connected again to put the game out of reach for the Rangers.

In the second half, Drew took six shots but could not find the back of the cage. Playing solid defense, the Rangers silenced Juniata, not allowing a single shot for the last 35 minutes.

Field Hockey travels to Stockton College on Tuesday, October 19th where the teams will square off for the second time.
