Crusaders Able to Squeak Past Rangers

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (October 30, 2010) - In a winner-take-all matchup of the first and second place place teams, it was Susquehanna that came away with a 1-0 victory and the Landmark Conference Regular Season Title.

Susquehanna (11-6, 6-1 Landmark) used a goal in the 10th minute of the game by the Crusaders' leading scorer Joey Stellato to beat the Rangers for the first time since the inception of the Landmark in 2007.

The Crusaders were only the second team this season to outshoot the Rangers this season. The only other time this season that happened was the 2-2 tie against Muhlenberg on October 13.

Drew (12-2-3, 5-1-1 Landmark) needed, at worst, a tie to clinch the number one seed in the upcoming conference tournament. The Rangers have been the one seed the past two seasons and were the two seed in their championship season of 2007.

The Rangers will now host Merchant Marine on Wednesday. Drew defeated the Mariners 2-0 back on October 20. The game will be the night cap of a Landmark Conference playoff doubleheader with game time set for 7:00.
