Women's Swimming Drops Home Opener

MADISON, N.J. (November 12, 2010) - Women's swimming suffered their first home loss of the 2010-11 season earlier this evening when they were defeated by the Red Hawks of Montclair State, 162-90.
Freshman
Jess Harrington (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) had a pair of second place finishes, nearly coming away with two more first place finishes in her young career. In her first crack at the 50 Back she nearly out-touched Montclair's Kelsie Donahue coming in with a time of 30.98, a half a second off the winning time. She returned to action in the 100 Back only to have the same result.
Another freshman,
Jordan Bader (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) shaved almost four seconds off her 1000 Free with a time of 11:38.91. The time was a little over three seconds off the the race winner. Bader would help the Rangers score in in the 50 and 100 Fly with a pair of third place finishes.
The Rangers will return to action on Friday when they travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to swim Mount St. Mary's.
