The Rangers were in control early thanks to a four-run first inning.

David Kaplow (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) hit up the middle.
The Greyhounds would chip away over the next three innings and tied the game for the first time in the bottom of the fifth inning, 6-6. The Rangers responded in the top of the sixth inning with two runs and recaptured the lead with the help of Bodden and Murray.
Chris DelMaestro (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) got the Rangers going as he picked up one of his two hits on the day with one out. Bodden then followed him with a single into left center to put men on first and second. Murray then hit a ball right back up the middle to score DelMaestro and give Drew a 7-6 advantage. Bodden came in on and RBI ground out by McGrath to make the score 8-6.
Murray and Bodden finished the day each with three hits and three RBIs. Bodden came around and scored three of the Rangers nine runs.
