Drew's Fast Start Buries Lions
EWING, N.J. (September 1, 2010) - Despite losing the top four scorers from a year ago, the new look Ranger offense put on a show against in-state foe TCNJ, scoring four goals in the opening 13:07 of the game to capture the first victory of the 2010 season.

Matthew Gragnano (Hazlet, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) notched his first career goal off a pass by Senior
Will Brackett (Wycoff, N.J./Ramapo). A little over eight minutes later the Rangers looked to pour it on early.
Tommy Quirk (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) served a ball to
Joe Mitchell (Robbinsville, N.J./Lawrence) to make the score 2-0.
After netting two goals in under 10 minutes the Rangers would add two more in the next four minutes to get top for good.
Matthew Greenberg (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Indian Hills) lofted as shot into the top left corner of the net to make the score 3-0. Under two minutes later Gragnano got the his second goal of the game and his young career when he beat the keeper high from nearly 35 yards out.
The Lions would attempt a comeback by adding two first half goals to make the score 4-2 going into the second half but the Rangers would respond right out of the gate in the second half with an unassisted goal by
Philip Mabika (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) at the 46:56 mark.
Senior Goalkeeper
Jeff Rogers (Eldensburg, Md./Century) would stop the bleeding by making a seven second-half saves and earning his 29th career win.
This was Drew's first time defeating the Lions since 2004 after a tie in 2008.
The Rangers will make their home debut in the annual Fall Fest. The first game between The College of Staten Island will begin at 5:00 on Saturday. Drew will take on SUNY-Westbury in the nightcap at 7:00.
